Weekly Recap

Nereyda’s Recap:

Can you believe March is almost over? I know I was complaining about the cold weather a few weeks ago but this past week, we got a little tiny peak of summer in Arizona and OMG, I don’t think I’m ready!  Every summer, I’m like holy hell why is it so hot???? (It’s usually over 105-110 degrees most of the summer here in Arizona) But when the ‘winter’ comes by I’m freezing my ass off and I’m missing my scorching hot weather.  If anything, I’m excited for Summer because that means more walks around the lake, bike riding and going to the water park.

Last week was a pretty good week.  I didn’t get to read shit, but oh well.  I actually have no idea where the hell my kindle even is right now!  I know I took it camping and brought it back but it hasn’t appeared yet.  I hope to be able to at least finish my current book this weekend.  I didn’t even get to listen to audiobooks because I was dealing with hosting issues and it was impossible to concentrate on my audiobooks.  I have so many good audiobooks to listen to so I hope to knock out some next week.  Other than that, I don’t remember what else I did last week.  Oh, I did go get a new license!  I never got around to getting my horizontal ‘Over 21’ licence and I’m turning 30 in May…oops.  Better late than never I guess.  I also finally found time to comment on my feed and it felt so good to have my Blogloving feed down to 0 unread posts.  Hope everyone else had a great week!

What I’m reading:

The Winner's Curse (The Winner's Trilogy, #1) Wink Poppy Midnight
Yes, I’m still reading this book and it’s embarrassing, I know.  The sad thing is, I’m loving this book, I just have had no time to read.  I started Wink Poppy Midnight on audio and it’s…interesting. I’m only 20% in so we’ll see if it’s good interesting or bad interesting.

What I Read:

     The First Time She Drowned

This book was really good, I picked up the audio on a whim and I really liked it. It’s kind of like Mara Dyer minus all the crazy…

e-ARC’s:

 Good Girl Just a Girl
I looooove Lauren Layne, so excited for this one! I like Ellie Cahill’s first book, hopefully I like this one too.

Book Haul:

book haul 3-25
Huge thanks to the publishers for these books!

Nick’s Weekly Recap:

Hey everyone!

This week was yet another week that went by with me losing hope by the minute. Things are rough at my place right now and I’m stressed and worried and confused. This whole year has been rough for me and I just need something to go right so that I don’t feel like I’ve made a huge mess out of my life. So in the end, my mood left me feeling very unproductive. I have a backlog of 12 reviews to write, books that need to be read and a whole lot more non-blogging related work. Even my commenting was sparse this week, but thank you to everyone who came back and still commented on our posts. It means a lot! <3

I’m finally on season 4 of Elementary and already, it’s a much better season than the previous one. The cases are more exciting and the execution better. I heard the show got renewed for season 5, and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve become pretty obsessed with the show. I’ve even been dreaming about it haha!

I hope your weeks went better than mine did! :)

Check out my romance blog for my romance reviews of the week:

The Girl with the Happily Ever Afters

What I Read:

When We Collided A Better Man (Sunshine Creek Vineyard, #1) Romancing the Nerd A Criminal Magic The Smell of Other People's Houses Paper Princess (The Royals, #1)

When We Collided was unlike any Emery Lord book I’ve read and I found it to be very well-written and knowledgeable. I was disappointed with A Better Man. It was so cheesy and didn’t have that charm the author’s first series had. Romancing the Nerd was cute, but I needed more of the couple together. A Criminal Magic was AMAZING. Why are more people not reading/reviewing this book?? The Smell of Other People’s Houses was an audiobook and I loved it so much! I wanted to hug it when I was done. And Paper Princess was so dramatic, but in a very entertaining way. All in all, a pretty fantastic reading week.

What I’m Currently Reading/Listening:

Salt to the Sea Future Shock

I’m currently listening to Salt to the Sea and goodness! I just want to curl up in a ball and cry all day because this book is emotional, but so beautifully written!
I’m also hoping to start Future Shock sometime this weekend! I hope it’s good.

Library & Book Haul:

Summer Skin Chasing Crazy Out of the Easy

I decided to take a quick trip to the library and OMGGG! I may screamed when I saw they had Summer Skin. My library hardly ever has any good YA books, but this was one on my TBR for a long time (mostly because of Kelly at Diva Book Nerd) and I wasn’t going to pay $20 on TBD for a paperback. Anyways, I’m so so happy, my library got a copy!

I also bought Chasing Crazy and Out of the Easy, the first because it looks cute and I’ve heard good things and the second because I enjoy torturing myself.

e-ARCs Haul:

Ever the Hunted (Clash of Kingdoms, #1) Just Kiss Me Good Girl The Untamed Earl (Playful Brides, #5) Paper Princess (The Royals, #1)

Thank you to HMH Books for Young Readers, Avon Books, Loveswept, St Martin’s Press, Nina Bocci & Erin Watt for the review copies.
